READY FOR THE BEST SUMMER EVER?

YPI is not your average arts camp. We welcome tweens and teens in grades 5 through grade 12 to our beautiful summer home at Suffield Academy in Suffield, CT for two weeks every summer. You don't have to have any special ability or talent—we foster your interest in the creative arts at any level.

We hold a variety of workshops in the performance, visual, and writing spaces. You can choose to take one workshop each week or remain in the same workshop for both weeks for a more in-depth experience.

Our YPI campers live in residence halls on the beautiful Suffield Academy campus and are supervised by highly-qualified counselors. When you're not in the classroom, you'll have the opportunity to enjoy community activities such as capture the flag, theater games, jewelry making, face painting, soccer, asteroids, ultimate frisbee and mini-workshops on dance, music, acting, and writing if you so choose. You’ll love our Wednesday night dances even if you've never loved a school dance. Trust us.

WHY YPI?

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A YPIER

When not being challenged in their workshops, campers participate in structured recreational activities conducted by trained counselors every afternoon. Evening activities include culturally stimulating performances by local artists, as well as age-appropriate events that promote communication and social development.

Each Friday after lunch, campers are given time to show off everything they’ve worked on over the past week at an event we call We Jazz.
