YPI 2008 was a great success.
Campers produced some of the finest work we
have seen in 28 years. From performing Shakespeare and dancing up a storm
to our own Project Runway, campers strutted their stuff. We heard and read
culmination of a novel created over the past six summers and collective
poetry performance that moved us all. Artists worked in oils, acrylics,
charcoal, clay, pen and ink. Our song writers write performed and recorded
in a professional recording studio for the first time. And our screen
writers produced our first twenty minute collaborative film.
We are proud of their efforts and are already planning for the summer of
2009 with new courses in art, music and acting. We wish to offer grateful
appreciation to all YPI campers and staff in creating a community of
creative energy and enthusiasm. And to all the supportive families we
appreciate your loyalty, kindness and financial support. Truly, YPI is not
just a place; it’s a state of mind.
